 American Three-toed Woodpecker, Adult male, Rocky Mountains, Picoides dorsalis.

I usually see these birds only about 4 times per year. This is my second sighting in 2013. He's in the area where I lead bird walks for the park, so sooner or later, I'll get to show him to a group of birders.
