the colors are washed out

A nice idea. The positioning of the horse doesn't really suggest fast movement - so it would probably be stronger with a different gait. Exposure right on, composition well planned.

Maybe a little over exposed. The sun looks good on the black horse, but is a little bright on the fair skinned model.

Would have been better if the horse was running! But a nice shot just the same. :)

This simply isn't stopped motion. Look at the extreme motions that have been stopped in other photos. This feels like a snapshot. Sorry to be so direct.

Not sure what's missing here, it does meet the challenge, but it doesn't really have impact on me.

well a decent picture, but I was expecting more action shot and something that needs timing...this doesn't quiet fit ..the horse jumping a fence could be what I was looking for

Not sure why you chose to hide the faces of the animal and the rider as both are beautiful. I would have waited for another gait where two feet of the horse are really off the ground to demonstrate stopped motion more effectively but I get your idea. A tighter crop would also vastly improve this in my opinion.
