 The Egyptian God Thoth, the African Sacred Ibis used for sacrificial rituals in ancient times. Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX HSM OS

ETA: h2 commented on the haloing. TBH I didn't rely notice it as there was a whisp of cloud in the BG as I took the shot. However I think it was enhanced and flared around the black head of the Ibis during Post and or JPG conversion. I have added an improved version where I have smoothed the BG and only then applied DeNoise and other Post Processes.

First edit is better than the reedit. It looks more natural, and you lose some detail in the white feathers in the reedit. A beautiful shot, regardless, I can feel him flapping his wings. You got robbed on the score. The only thing I would try to tweak is to attempt (it may not be possible) to get a bit more detail into his black head.
