This composition was an afterthought. I had gone to the marina with the idea of my son and dog sitting at the end of a dock (rows of planks/pilings). Unsatisfied with what I was getting due to the short piers, I took took a few other compositions (framework under the dock, rotting retention walls, etc). I gave up and was walking back to the car when I glanced over and saw these boats. Not thinking it would look that good, I snapped a few shots anyway and left. In the end, this was my favorite...
