 He's been to the groomer today! Hand held. Shutter speed was slow enough that I switched to auto-HDR (which combines 2-3 shots) to get it in focus. Side light from a table lamp, the other side light from the TV, so his white fur had yellow and blue in it. To much for me, so I converted to BW. I didn't do a very good job of cloning out the gap between sofa cushions, forgive me, I hadn't the patience. By the time I had draped a BG, something else came up. Have to try again tomorrow. "D

It's a really sweet picture. I find with the dogs, I have to go to at least 5.6 to get the nose and eyes in focus on the same shot. Smaller than 5.6 with the great dane.

Nice focus on the eyes - with more light, perhaps you could bet a smaller aperture and focus on the nose, too. Very cute dog.

adorable little face...Pet portraits are so challenging since they don't really understand what we want....Excellent capture.
