Once you remove that final screw, CAREFULLY AND SLOWLY remove the foot. You are being careful because if you don't, you can have your detent pin go flying off somewhere and your flash will no long lock nearly so securely on a shoe. It's not the end of the world, but keep it in mind. Also, if your detent pin has been acting up for you at all, now is the time to make any alterations you need to to get it shipshape.
