Composition-Content
You have done a great job of portraying this song. I think that your composition is great, with the blue in the corners and the stripes leading into the corners also. The lines leading towards the pie adds focus to the main point of interest of the picture. You had a few comments that the pie looked shop bought, was it? If so, it's the best looking shop bought pie I have seen!
Background
Using the American flag here, fits the song totally but I think that it may have cost you a few points from the non American voters. A tricky and controversial topic, but I think that it would be the only reason why you have quite a few ones and twos. Enough said!
Technical
your lighting looks great, very even and creates good colour saturation. Focus is a little soft on the pie, but very sharp on the background, perhaps focusing on the pie then recomposing would have fixed this.
My Opinion
I think that you did a great job of portraying the song in a simple and effective way. Without doubt, it fits the challenge perfectly. I hope that you find this helpful and Good Luck in the next challenge! |

Great song, but the pie looks store bought and warped. The picture does say Amercian Pie so I'll give you a 7

| IMO this would have worked better with a plainer looking pie. The pie and the background just seem to clash. I love the idea though. |

| Love the song and love how you portrayed it. Looks like cherry pie and that is very American. Shame you couldn't use a baseball in the theme. Good shot. Personally I don't think the extra area on the right was necessary but it doesn't hurt it for me either. Just a little bright but good shot. It's an 8 to me. PTL |

| This is so literal minded I just want to gouge my own eyes out with the plain awful absence of though that failed to go into this. On the bright side, you didnt do 'These Boots were Made for Walking' |

| Nice and creative! Definately depicts the song. Even without the title, I would have figured this one out. The angle and framing/cropping is good. I like how you have placed the pie in the lower left. The color is very nice, and lighting on the pie looks good to me. Great shot. Good luck in the challenge. |
