One of our cats. Shot outdoors in natural light. His nose seems a bit blown (no pun intended) so I need to be careful with my exposures.

I was going to enter this little fellow but I prefered his natural enemy this time.

(just kidding - my lazy cats stuggle to catch snails)

Beautiful portrait of a cat, with great focus on the eye closest by. And with that part of her face crisp sharp, the blown-out highlights of the nose and the body are not distracting at all, even emphasize that face even more.

The eyes make this photo, in spite of it being a little overexposed. Beautiful eyes!

Sure its a bit blown but the opaline green sparkle in the eyes, thin pupil and reflection are eye catching.

Nicely intimate portrait of your cat. The face is well-defined, and well-separated from hisbody in the bokeh.

Yep, minus the nose blowing, a really great shot. You can tell there was a lot of bright light since the pupil is so narrow.

It's a beautiful shot of a gorgeous cat - love it's name - does it mean something? The blackbird is sweet too and the bright red makes it really catch my eye but the cat is hands down the winner .. love how the white whiskers still look so crisp and stand out against his white muzzle.

I love the eyes and comp. Probably could fix that nose with highlight recovery or cloning from the white fur below!

You gave the only "critique" I was going to - other than the nose tip the focus us spot on and the lighting lovely.

Gorgeous cat. It's easy to see the intelligence and alertness of his personality here.

You've managed great detail and clarity. Have you tried toning the blown out nose down a bit?
Overall, I think it is a wonderful portrait!

A very sweet cat photo, despite the blown nose.
