Challenge: Mirrors (Advanced Editing II)
Camera: Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Location: My hallway
Date: Sep 12, 2004
Aperture: f22
ISO: 100
Shutter: 10 sec
Galleries: Portraiture
Date Uploaded: Sep 12, 2004

Taken in my hallway. Not very creative but I submitted it anyway.

Shutter speed was 10 sec's. I sat in the stairs and triggered the camera with a remote control. I ran away quickly after ~5 sec's, thereby creating the 'ghost image'.

Transformed/skewed to make mirror square since photo was taken from an angle. Desaturated a little, adjusted color balance to remove yellow color from my walls. Sharpened.

Lovely colouring and lighting. The colours and tones in this image all work well together. The compostion works well to enhance the subject matter. The central composition works well.

I don't understand, how you could do this in one shot.

Intriguing. Well thought out and executed. The mirror just seems to blend in with the scene.

Great idea and very interesting. Composition is very good. Upper part of mirror reflection and actual wall above mirror is overexposed. Flash shadow is harsh.

This has worked really well I feel. You have perfect level of exposure, both for the overall image and also the guy (yourself I assume) on the stairs. Fantastic shot.

Like the mounting. The fade of the man to reflect thoughts coming going...
