This one happened because a sherriff shook his finger at me. I was parked off to the side of a country road taking pelican pics, when he pulled up and cheerfully announced there was a vista point a few miles up the road and I shouldn't park here. When he left, I found a nearby dirt road marked with a sign that read (oh, something like) RETNE TON OD. So I went down it, turned around and found these guys. Had three tries. The 3rd exposure was the charm. Just before the forward pair left the composition. Of course, used the 50-500 Sigma on this.

Nice. And a Stilt in the background. I was hoping to find some White Pelicans on my recent trip but no luck. Thanks for sharing them.
