Yes, another image from the same sequence that got me a Yellow ribbon in the August FS, but the light and pose are just too spectacular for anything else to be my "Best of 2012" entry. Finding those deer in that glorious light was pure magic.
Title is quoted from Edna St. Vincent Millay's poem "The Fawn."
PP - tonemapped in qtpfsgui, erased all but fawn and merged in Luminosity mode at about 65%, straightened, cropped, cloned out a line by her back feet, decreased saturation on ears and shifted oranger, shifted fawn redder (looked a tad green), shifted greens yellower, levels, vignette, render -> lighting effect in light yellow, resized, USM, added border. |
