This is a simple shot of a flower on a cloudy day. The only post-processing I did was to crop the original picture.
A good way to get the background blurred on my Panasonic FZ28 (long-zoom point-and-shoot) is to step back from the subject, and zoom all the way in.
This is my first submission to dpchallenge, and I realize it is very unsophisticated compared to other submissions I saw. I hope to get better at this as I take part in more challenges :)

Constantin, excellent technique employed with your very capable bridge camera. I am a firm believer in knowing your gear and making full use of it's available and remarkable (modern digital vs old film) capabilities.
