 First entry of the year...and I think in about 8 months or so. Nowhere near good enough for FS..but I've committed myself to entering as many challenged as possible.

Overall, like the lighting and composition....probably way to heavy-handed on the processing, but still need to shake the rust! Hopefully get a feedback or two on this.

Guessing a 5.5?

Thanks Janine, what a lovely treat! I really like it, and you're right, probably not enough detail. Also, I tried to blur the background out with LR, but didn't go as well as I'd have liked. Wish I had Photoshop!

Gerry, I gave you your 10...I know that this is NOT an easy photo to get. I love the power in it...Personally I think it's really good...I know that DPC will say not enough detail/to soft in the feathers...but I was wavering between 9/10...10 won it
