You're right that it can look vicious when frozen. That was my first impression, not play, but fight, aggression, danger. They are very good looking dogs. |

That is cool! The expression on the border collie says friendly fun, the corgi not so much. I'm glad they had a good time. BTW they both have beautiful teeth\, their dentist would be proud of them. |

Beautiful color, focus, detail and exposure really enhance the impact - rarely captured in my experience. But then I don't have dogs. |

Yes, much is left to our imaginations in this capture. Excellent focus and moment captured. |

Chomp more than sing! Great stop motion DOF and clarity on the eyes, perfect WB.
Those 70-200mm f/4's are a real treat. Nikon has finally released one and at $1000 less than the f/2.8 quite a deal. The poor man's f/2.8, they are nearly 50% lighter (1.87 lb (0.85 kg) vs 3.39 lb (1.54 kg)) and equally good, bar that one stop of light slower and VRI instead of VRII which in the 4th or 5th generation of sensors and DeNoise software is hardly an issue, unless you are a sport tog on a very tight upload deadline like at the Olympics. But then you are using a 1Dx or D3/D4 that already have the best low noise high ISO's out there. I'd rather lug the lighter f/4 around TBH. Ann owns one but no submissions with it yet. |

So crisp you could cut your finger on it - a fun shot when you know they are having fun .. beautiful colors and gorgeous dogs .. both dogs have perfectly lit eyes - the technical aspect of this photo is spot on - a winner in every way even though the fight wasn't real :) |

They look like they're having a great time! Excellent shot, btw. Technically excellent, which can be hard in a fast moving scene, and lots of life. |

Nice and sharp, and it doesn't exactly look innocent or tame! |

The dog on the right makes me smile, his perfect white teeth, very amusing. Could be used for a doggy dentist commercial. That said I like the eye contact between the two. Great focus. |

I know what you mean about a dog looking mean when in reality they are playing. The focus is exactly where it should be, great shots. |
