 Technically, there is much wrong with this image. However, I like the emotion of the image and to me that is more important sometimes. My first entry for 2013 and I want to express more emotion with my images and not worry too much about photographic rules and voters expectation. I am going to try and this year to better express myself with my entries.

Some of your comments are disappointing. To have the girl frozen and in perfect focus, would be to suck the life right out of this image.

What a joyful image. The color, light, and shadows bring it to life despite the point of focus. A care free image that perfectly captures a child's love of chalk.

I like the boy in the back; sharp, good color, etc... The girl in front needs to be either sharp or more OOF IMO. She's kind of stealing the show with that smile, yet isn't in focus.
