the softness of the greens as they turn to yellow and the blues of the mountains beyond makes for a complete palette

The bottom portions of the aspen trees have been scarrred by the elk chomping on the bark during the depths of winter. We have an overpopulation of elk. They get really hungry in the depth of winter and chomp on the bark to get the nutrient rich cambium layer.

Wow. Sensational colors, and wonderful layering effect with the Aspens, evergreens and hills. Wisps of clouds provide a great bit of detail and depth to the hills. This is beautiful.
