Lovely image - I guess I like "soul-less" LOL At any rate, it spoke to mine :)

It's also borderline illegal, although I can never keep straight what is legal these days for vignettes.

The reason this didn't do much better is there isn't too much connection to offer the viewer. We don't get drawn into the image because of a story or because of interest or because of a human element. You see the majority of your shot's scores are 5 and 6. You didn't get many below because it was technically well done. You didn't get many above because it didn't have a soul.

Interesting comment and helpful thanks ... in my 'defense' (LOL) I don't take pictures of people or with people and I TRY to take pictures that people can make their own story from. I tend not to be 'in your face' with my 'story' in a photo. This one in particular the story is very subtle ... the fuller lyrics are:

I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear ....

and to me this image is very zen, very quiet, very still, very peaceful .... what speaks to you when you are alone in the garden?

Just a gorgeous image - light and tones and simplicity of composition. A favorite.

for some reason it doesn't feel like garden.
