My husband looking for firewood in a designated firewood area (not allowed to cut trees down).
A play with vaseline on my old UV filter.

this is the best use of an UV filter I have ever seen.

That is a really creative idea. I love the result. I will have to try that on one of my old UV filters that I do not use anymore. Well done.

He does look like he's on a mission. The softness is so appealing. I'll have to try the vaseline thing sometime.

Marion, this is really nice. I have never used vaseline, but figure it may give me some nice results. Perhaps that's a project for the winter.

Time to pick up an old filter myself. I was thinking of doing that after the soft focus challenge, but never got around to it. It's a really cool effect that can't be recreated in post.

Do you apply the vaseline so it's evenly distributed? How?

I like this result very much, Marion. The taupe tones are unusual but very lovely and complement the softness here.
