 Day 16 - Just another snapshot. One of the harbor seals that always made me smile at the aquarium. They really were posers. Unfortunately, they are no longer there. The left at the end of the summer and they are making an exhibit called penguin island for next summer. They currently have penguins, but they will getting more types of penguins for this.

Aww, what a cutie, and what a great smile! And so sad they took them away. :-( Wonder what they will do with them, as they are probably used to being quite spoiled by their caretakers - and probably enjoy the people who come to visit, too.

I think he's swearing an oath. It reminds me of school assemblies when I was a child. Hand on heart, the other saluting the flag we recited, 'I love God and my country,
I honour the flag, I will serve the Queen, and cheerfully obey my parents, teachers and the laws.' (Maybe this shouldn't have been abandoned.)
This is a brilliant shot and beautifully processed. What a shame they are replacing the seals with penguins. I can't imagine them being half as entertaining.

I'm starting to get the feeling you spend a lot of time at the zoo. Something I should start doing more often.
Penguins are boring, so it's sad these seals are leaving.
