Taken June 27th.

From the Botanical Garden - I said I go there a lot. I love macro photography, especially pretty flowers.

Very beautiful, like an odd little ballerina with lots of legs.

Gorgeous! We have a similar version around here, but it's the orange variety. I can't wait for spring to come back so I can take some flower shots.

We call these glacier lilies here, although I'm not entirely sure it's the exact same plant, since the leaves on glacier lilies come out of the bottom (ground level), not up the stem as in this photo. Otherwise, it looks very much like the same flower. Beautiful picture. The reds make you stay inside it.

Fair enough. I carry everything with me all the time. It's cumbersome, but I assume everyone else does also.
Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing flower shot, I just felt with all the green everywhere, the yellow and red should shine together, and not have the yellow dominate like it does.

Hopefully you didn't take offense, because none was meant.

I don't even own a reflector or off camera flash, let alone carry them with me at all times. No offense taken, not at all! I take hundreds of photos a week, when I go to the Botanical Gardens I take hundreds in an hour or two. To meticulously set up every shot would cut down on my shooting time and I like to capture as much as I can.
