 December look back, Day 11

Gotta love meerkats. They're just too darn cute not to!

My trip to the LA Zoo. I need to go again. Bought the annual membership, have the card, need to go! (It's a bit of a drive when there's traffic, which is probably why I don't go more often.)

A couple more from the day. The peacock was a visitor, but probably didn't buy a ticket...

This is my favorite kind of black and white conversion because the tones and contrasts are so beautiful. Love this regal pose!

Great detail. Love the B/W tones. I think the B/W really brings out the detail and contrast.

Beautiful shot. I love his pose and I love the sparkly bokeh. I have to agree with John, any that I've seen here seem to have much sparser coats.

I bet that freeloading peacock voted for Obama. Very nice twinkles of light behind him, if he is indeed a he. Nice texture in the fur. Just a really cute photo.

Not only are they cute, their look-out behavior makes them wonderful subjects for a portrait. This is a very nice one with wonderful detail.
