The following is a copy of the text that came with the piece of Bismuth we purchased for our son some time ago:

Bismuth is a native element. Peru is one of the world's major sources. Native crystals are extremely rare. These crystals are grown in a laboratory in the United States.

Scarce as silver, heavier than lead, one cubic foot of bismuth would weigh over 600 lbs. It is classified as a semi-precious semi-metal.

Non-toxic to humans, bismuth is used in both medicine and cosmetics. Applications in inks, paints, free-machining steels and fire sprinklers are other uses.

This mineral helps cover and protect us; is read by some and worn by others, yet remains unknown by most.
