Went to Butterfly World in Coconut Creek, FL. Photographed a lot of butterflies along with a few birds. This guy was so cute. Just as I was clicking he/she did this with their tail. I always admire the bird photos people get on this site and the processing they do to bring them out. Hope I did this one justice.

I don't think I have ever seen a hummingbird butt, or one land on a perch before. I guess they can't just hover forever :)
I like the detailed feathers under the head.

I saw quite a few hummingbirds in my backyard this year, but never when I had a camera available. Cute butt!

Fun and interesting perspective and excellent detail - a little too bright in the processing for me.

Probably a rufous hb, male. It would take direct sunlight reflecting off the gorget to make it display full colors. Good detail. They flare their tail feathers like that when buzzed by competitors. He was defending his perch.

Great colour! Looks like you were very close to the bird. I've only ever seen 1 hummingbird and that was from a distance.

I love Hummers! Don't usually get to see them from this angle. I might play with toning down the brightness and saturation; the background is a bit overwhelming to my eye. But I love the pose :-)
