Taken on January 15th. Cabot Tower was built in 1897 and is located on Signal Hill which overlooks the city on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. It's a National Historic Site, it was the location of Marconi's first transatlantic wireless transmission in 1901.

It's a popular tourist spot and I go there often to take photos.

It looks like we didn't have much snow on January 15th but it's pretty windy up there so it always looks that way, even when we're buried in it.

Great use of the wide angle. It really accentuates that overbearing hilltop feel.

Great photo. Nice composition to show the harsh expanse of the hilltop, and great tones as well to add a nice soft movement contrast in the clouds. Very nice.

Beautiful leading lines and a good perspective to emphasize the solitariness of the tower on the hill. And yes, it feels COLD!

what an expansive vista - the snow/ice on the ground shows how the wind can whip this place up pretty good. It seems just a tad oversharpened in spots around the tower

Excellent b&w conversion. This image capture really says, "windswept". Great clouds.
