This was an experiment to see if I could achieve full depth of field with f/3.2 aperture using a focus spot on the hyperfocal distance. My theory was to use a very fast shutter speed to capture detail in the moon and have all of the ground features in focus. It was only partially successful.

I need to learn more about this hyperfocal distance stuff. Of course, even if I did, I wouldn't have beautiful scenery like this! Your tones are so gorgeous. Look forward to seeing what fully successful is since this partial success is beautiful.

Excellent tones! A little oversharp at this resolution but the full size looks fine.

Looks like it was pretty successful to me Richard- at this resolution anyway. Great zone coverage here.

Very nice image! I'd be very happy with that amount of tonal range and detail.

Fantastic gradient in the sky, wonderful tones and excellent contrast with the sky and moon. Excellent B&W landscape.

Wonderful deep richness in this one, Richard. From this size, it seems pretty close to successful.

A very interesting result and the moon is spectacular. I like the range of tones and the balance of the composition.
