 Amazing how quickly the year has gone by. Seems like yesterday when taking this one. Looks quite similar today outside expect it is windy and the lake has not yet started to freeze. Lots of snow though.

Looking through my images for this side challenge, I notice that all of the first 6 weeks are shot within 250 metres of my apartment.

Great elements of interest in the sky. The ice floes on the river add interest. Low sun in the sky makes for a documentation of your seasonal lighting conditions.

I can't imagine living in such a place of six-month snow fields, and icy lakes.
We had snow here yesterday - 17 days earlier than average years in this city.
But it only lasted an hour or so, then became sunny.
