It was one of my favorites in the look back challenge! Definitely a good choice. |

Great image, I love the hazy hills disappearing into the foot of the mountain. And that cloud is like cream topping the cake, very nice. Might do well in the challenge. |

I love those clouds...and the do change quickly. I think you see them more over the western mountains? I see them only occasionally here over the Smokies, and I almost never have a camera on hand when I do. Sometimes they can look like flying saucers parked over the mountain tops. |

I went to see it on Flickr. What a difference a larger dimension makes. The cloud hovering over the peak is fascinating. |

Really nice! I almost thought that was Mount Rainier from Seattle for a minute! I usually see this beautiful mountain from the other side. |

That cloud is magnificent! Great job with the processing, too. |

I'm with salmiakki - find this much more unusual than your fs entry and just as beautiful. Love the layered hills in the foreground, too. |

What a spectacular photo and location. The foothills are magic and the 'hat' just seals the deal. |

That's a lenticular cloud cap. Magnificent! Love the stacked hills effect below. This is a strikingly beautiful image. |

"The resulting haze in the air made the processing fairly difficult."
Difficult, but you did it masterfully! Great capture and excellent processing. |

I always wanted to capture something like this! Absolutely beautiful scene.
Hmm, I thought those lenticulars on top of mountains lasted longer, I guess one has to be prepared :). |
