Nice capture. I might straighten the horizon and sharpen the heron a tad more.

I'm giving this a 7...as I really have a weakness for Blue Herons. Some issues I have is that the focus on the bird is a little soft...and in post if you leveled the horizon and removed the noise it would help tremendously. "Neat Image" has some great freeware for that.
the shot really has some beautiful colors...
