....For all of you interested, the reality of the conditions of the day this photo was taken was as follows:

26 degree Farenheit, Gale Force winds, Hail constantly changing to rain, trying to avoid rain spots on the lense, soaked to my waist in cold water as waves keep coming in, keeping the tripod steady and trying to compose with one eye meanwhile having to watch out for waves with the other eye giving me only a few seconds to grab the tripod and run for the dunes in between waves. I have more blurry photos than clean photos....But, the colors you see are the actual colors in the sky and could go under basic processing as I had little to change. Anything I did just made it look fake...all in all I was wishing for "Hawaii" weather that day. :D

I really appreciate your restraint - the colors were one of my favorite things about this lovely image. Congratulations on the top ten.

Well executed. The muted colors and slightly blurred background make the ship parts pop.

Beautiful pastel colors and a nice range of textures from the sky to the breaking waves to the receding water on the shore. Easy to look at :) Voted earlier.

Long exposure on the beach photos tend to do well and this will no doubt do so too, especially with the great composition and colour you've managed to get via your processing.

Commenting only: This is beautifully captured, and has a lovely ethereal quality to it. However, to me the shipwreck isn't much to look at...doesn't look anything like a ship, which usually works very well. Just looks like flotsam and thus in my opinion actually detracts from the scene.

Love the tones here; really makes this a bit more haunting.
