 I went out for an all night shoot with the plan of capturing shooting stars. I captured a few, but they just didn't pop like I wanted them to. It was a silent night that night from 1AM to 7AM up in the high country. Just me and the heavens. I don't know what else could be so silent. It was so quiet I could hear my own heart beating. The roar of my busy life in each ear fading away with every hour. The title means nothing. Just something that came to me while I was editing this.

Thank you very much for all the kind comments. I did not expect this to score well, so a little surprised by the placement. I had a hard time translating silence into a photograph. I didn't want to create a too literal image, so I thought a stary sky would work good. I'm going to continue to pursue improving my night photography. For now, it's something I can't get enough of.
