I knew exactly how I wanted to shoot this when the challenge popped up. The trouble with this type of shot was trying to keep the rest of my body in clear focus (or appear to be) as I'm twirling my head around. There's still a slight bit of movement showing.
I really wanted to get smoother bokeh behind me by shooting wide open, but positioning myself in the right spot within the focus plane was a real PITA. I focused on a stick on the ground (where my feet would be) and then raised up the lens. After several takes, I just couldn't get it right on my own so I stopped it down just a bit to make it easier. I wanted to use my 77mm Ltd, but I didn't have my 49mm-to-77mm step up ring for the 10X ND filter. I won't forget that next time.
Oh, and I'm far from balding. ;-) That's just from twirling my head around.

different than a lot of the images I've seen in that it's in color and more of a happy normal scene. There's not a lot of tension in this and more like a snapshot with the addition of movement on your head to meet the secret part of the challenge.
