Others have already given some very good pointers about the background, evening out the lighting and on pose. Jumping off of the critique that slickchik mentioned about accenting her jawline - Can't remember who posted this great instructional video on how to pose your model but it is very helpful: How important is it to accentuate your subject̢۪s jawline in a portrait? Start at the 1:30 point where it gets to the main tips on how your model needs to pose to get a good jawline (8:46 timeline illustrates the technique even better).

I'm also thinking I'd like to see her shot from a higher perspective... Not right at her eye height but slightly above. I think it might me more complementary to her jawline.

But tanguera is right, the hair light is very good. Also, everything you do is a matter of taste so what I like may not be what you like.

I don't like how bright her left hand is.

What light modifier are you using for the main?

Probably would tone down the lights on the right hand side of her face etc.. Normally I think it is good to be at least 6 feet away from the backdrop? Maybe someone else can confirm that?

Need to not wear underwear for a few hours before any photo session to eliminate marks where it rubs on the skin.

This is an awesome first effort - you're going to be really great. She does have terrific energy, and your wardrobe choices are good.

She is, indeed, VERY close to the bg, which is a choice. It's neither good or bad. But that proximity will make it impossible to blur it or manipulate it somehow for different looks. The uneven lighting is also a choice, if made consciously. I don't mind uneven lighting in the bg, if that's what you're going for.

Your lighting is also great, and you have provided a nice "hair light" to add depth to the head region and shoulders.

The only aspect of this that bothers me in any way is her pose. Straight on body positions are rarely interesting (to me, anyway), especially when cropped. It makes the body look wider than it is, and has a lack of energetic dynamics. Even a slight diagonal rotation of her shoulders would help.

Well done!

She looks too close to the background for my taste

ETA It would look better if the background were blurred and evenly lit. It's much brighter on the right side.
