This is what they do with that strip they tear off :) This is the same species but not the same actual bird from my FS. Taken in my garden in Johannesburg. The little bastards destroy my pool palm tree :) but all in a good cause!

Hehe Marion :) As an Aussie you understand that "little bastards" is a term of endearment. There's enough palm tree to go around for all of us :P

It's a great photo. What an incredible achievement to build such a complex structure! Isn't it funny that the wildlife that is so intriguing from afar can be 'little bastards' to those who have to live with them? We have little bastard possums that visit us.
