Cailin is a 5 or 6 year old rescue. I drove 5 states to adopt her and drove 24 hours in 2 days to bring her home. She was found in a discount store parking lot scavanging for food. She was so emaciated that the rescue didn't even know she was pregnant. She had tape worms, round worms and heart worms. Her litter saw 2 pups survive (of 6). After weening, the pups got adopted out and Cailin came home with me. She lost much of her hair after giving birth as is evidenced by the bald spots on her neck. She is adjusting well. Putting on weight and her coat is coming in nicely.
