 I got just this one shot before that lively child, so interested in the world beyond the coffee house, spotted me. Then I just let my camera hang around my neck and started making faces at/with her (I think it's a girl) and striking poses there on the sidewalk that she would imitate. We were like one of those two mime acts where one is inside the glass box and the other outside. The dad noticed immediately, of course, and then everyone stopped reading and just watched us. After a bit the dad got out a camera and took a picture of me :) We were all grinning at one another. Finally I went in the shop and said hi properly - then I left with my single capture.

Actually, that's another woman, also reading part of a newspaper, seated at the table behind the child. Thanks so much for the look and the comment :)
