It's so nice to see a more unique shot among all these portrait entries. The amount of negative space on the right side might be a little overkill, but I like that it's there in the first place. Cropping the mouth out produces a very intresting effect, because it forces the eyes to provide all the expression, which works well here. I'm not sure if I would have left the entire nose in or if I would have cropped it just a little bit higher, but that's something I think I'd have to tweak and see how it looked. Anyway, a great shot that I enjoyed very much. 8

I like your unusual composition. I'd try having his head turned SLIGHTLY more to the left so that his eyes are a little more rotated. I think it would heighten the impression I got that he was looking off into the empty space, and that his eyes just snapped back towards the camera when he noticed the picture being taken.

Excellent use of black and white here. Very interesting cropping, I think it works pretty well. Excellent detail and lighting, except that you lose just a bit due to shadows on the ear. Otherwise a very nice overall portrait. Nice job.

This person's eyes do express him without the rest of his face. Good job and good luck.

Very unique composition and perspective of things. Maybe a tiny bit too much negative space on the right for my taste.
