Had to force my wife to pose for this one :-).. I quite knew what i wanted to achieve with this photo and i think it turned out pretty close to the way i wanted it to look. Next to the window with curtains partly drawn.. Natural light, no reflectors.

Some crop, increased contrast, clarity, HDR toning to compress highlights, cloning of minor blemishes, Sepia tone, Color mask to bring out the sticker on the forehead (Indian Bindi), and Dodge and Burn.

I had to come back to this three times because I initially wanted to vote this a 10, but was annoyed by something - couldn't figure it out. The light to dark transition (our left to right) goes from washout to fine detail in too abrupt a fashion. Don't misunderstand me - this is a great image, just the technical details messed it up. A little more work with a light meter and changing the angle of the face would have helped a lot.

The light seems a bit harsh. Her hands and face seem almost blown out.

I truly feel the light is too harsh and takes away from the serenity of the subject
