Thanks guys, this is really good input.
Mike: i froze some shots completely but they looked too static. I m considering getting a completely frozen image in such a scenario and then selectively adding motion blrr - Think that would make it more appealing?
The lighting point is excellent - i was considering it but i convinced my self "nah this looks good" Now that you mentioned it i think its gotta be done right. Much appreciated.
Giles: Thanks for the honest opinion. I thought the expression was a tad off as well.

i dont think it would have done well in the challenge, in fact i dont think it would have done well over all.
not to say it inst a good picture although it does have flaws. for one you didn't completely freeze the movement (hands and feet) thus it looks OOF. the lighting is almost high key and doesn't quite match the background. since you are creating the background, i'd like to see it with a better crop showing more dead space and maybe a drop shadow to add some depth.

doesnt do much for me, his pained concentrated face and the pose dont scream independence at me, 5 next one..... |

EXCELLENT YES I LIKE THE RESULT AS WELL MUSH MORE IMPACT BUT IN A SOFTER WAY RE COLOR CHOICE AND FEELING WELL DONE XOX
