 Shot at Rietvlei Nature Reserve on Father's Day. Normally we have extremely sunny bright blue sky winter days but the weather was dull and overcast. There was a small window of light as I took this but I didn't think it powerful enough for the recent Birds III challenge. What do you think?

Note that DPC does not have a Wildlife Site Gallery section, only Nature, and Nature is everything including Zoo's, Aviaries, Sanctuaries and your pet Polly in a cage at home!
Genuine wildlife images should be place in it's own category.
Time to start lobbying Langdon :P

Yes, the silky water sets off the bird perfectly.

These are both lovely! The colors are this shot are marvelous, but I do agree that the water captures the eye a little more readily than the adorable bird.

The bird looks like a baby. Baby birds are cute. I do have to agree that the coloring of the water and its movement are more interesting to me.
