Challenge: Abstract Nature (Advanced Editing VII)

This truly astonishingly beautiful growth pattern is in the trunk of a Bristlecone pine in the Mt Goliath Bristlecone nature area which is located on the way up to the summit of Mt Evans in Colorado. These trees grow to around 2000 years old, so one can only speculate as to how long this growth pattern has taken to grow. Whether it meets the challenge, I guess is anyones guess. But I feel it has a very unique abstract quality.

Not bad. I would have liked some extra processing to potentially put further emphasis on the curves of the wood. Personally, I think you might have included too much wood. If I visually crop vertically down the center, the left OR right side individually carry more visual interest than the entire image by itself.
