Canon 400/5.6L with 2.0xII and 1.4xII teleconverters stacked for a combined focal length of 1120mm and a max aperture of f/16.

10-stop ND filter (10+6 was too much and I didn't want to stack filters if I could avoid it).

lens mounted to Manfrotto 3021BPro tripod with a Manfrotto 488RC4 head. Canon Angle Finder C used for critical focusing.

Next transit of Venus is in 2117, mark your calendars ;-)

I'm happy that you captured this so well. Clouds ruined my chances of getting any images.

not only is Venus in transit, but it appears the Sun is getting larger compared to your previous frame. No wonder all the climate change...

Excellent. ...although it could be fake and I wouldn't know the difference. Next time get a dozen extension tubes and zoom in on the Venusians. :P
