 I'm not sure what type of plant this is, but they grow all over in the forest north of Steamboat Springs, CO. They're a large leafy thing, about the size of a football.

Very interesting in B&W. Nice abstract -- I was not sure if it was plant, paper or something else. You covered some ground in this series -- Steamboat to Golden.

Its called a triffid and you were very lucky ;-) love the energy this shot has, i would have added a bit more vignette.
