This is a Rose I was originally going to use in the Ansel Adams challenge. The idea was to introduce a completely worn out driftwood and a dead rose but to light it in his style. Alas, i never found a usable driftwood.

Still, I left it wilt even more to get some more wrinkles in it and finally decided to shoot for myself. Though i understand this is fairly generic as a shot, any critique is welcome.

what I find interesting is that it seems to have the texture of a wasp's nest - thin, papery. and I like the definition. almost too subdued to be an Ansel, but that seems to be in keeping with it's ambiguous state of decay. nice work.

Love the detail and focus. Would probably get a 7 from me.
