This last week, I was driving down the Embarcadero at Fisherman's Wharf, minding my own business (but with camera at the ready) when I came nose to nose with this enormous cruise ship - called the Grand Princess, she carries 2600 passengers and will be based in SF from now on. One very large ship, I can attest, and unfortunately red lights last only so long, so my 70-300 had to do the honors. You "will" note there are 2 streetlights in the picture.

Woe unto San Francisco, if this baby every loses the brakes when coming in to dock. She'd take out a fair amount of the wharf!

The light streak, of course, is the windshield.

The lightposts look so out of place against the backdrop of the ship! Nice catch!

Looming is the word that comes to mind. This reminds me of those movies where alien giant spaceships are looming over all the antlike people.

Oh my! That truly is one very large ship. Great pic under the conditions! Perhaps a little straightening might be in order as it feels as if it is listing to portside... :)
