I have always thought that blooming irises looked a lot like tongues. That perception is even more evident when trying to line up the flower for as a perfectly centered image as possible. Pretty tough to do when there is an intermittent slight breeze (and these flower REALLY move in the breeze).

Post Processing:
* White balance
* Increase exposure, black point, definition, and recovery
* Increase saturation with lower vibrancy
* Dodge the flower
* Burn the background
* S curve
* Levels
* Slight Yellow saturation increase
* Export as TIFF
* Resize
* Sharpen Edges
* Save as JPEG
