 Quite prepared for this to get hammered; after all, there is no cliche story behind it and it's not gritty b&w.

This is the dam that supplies water to our entire region. For most of the year, it is a hive of activity - water skiing, fishing, swimming etc. It tends to empty out around dusk, as there are new regulations banning access after 7pm, but until then, the water is never still and laughter and friendly voices fill the air.

Sometimes, empty is simply peaceful.

Lovely minimalist land/seascape. The way I like 'em. Land is so thin on the right that the optical illusion appears slightly off horizontal...clockwise 0.5 degrees.
