Took my son to the Perth city centre for him to shoot some architecture and grabbed a couple of candids whilst I was at. Got chatting to this Aboriginal guy after his hat caught my eye. For those who don't know this is a tradtional Australian armed forces 'slouch hat' and we talked about his relatives who had served in the army in WWII. The Aboriginal soldiers received very little recognition at the time.
This is thing I'm really beginning to dig about candids. The opportunity to speak to some really interesting people after first grabbing their pic.
As always basic editing only. Minor crop, adjustments to contrast, desat to B&W, resized, border, sharpen, save as JPEG.

Love the expression and detail, looks great in black and white. Wish it was cropped a tad lower to lose that white area at the top and I would also take out the loop thing in the upper left as I find it very distracting.
