@doremi - Yes, in fact all of the ones I just posted in the Big Month thread (except the heron and the egret) were taken on the same day at Santee Lakes, in Santee California. I've got a ton of shots of wonderful birds at Santee Lakes...but most weren't taken this month, so they can't go in that thread. |

You captured such a variety of waterfowl- are they all in the wild?

| Good photo. I think the female also based on lak of color.... but the markings are that of the male. A female would have a dark line across the cheek. Maybe the light. Maybe a juvenile. |
