Just wait till I upload what I call the "Dalmation Duck" that also lives here...lol. These ducks here...well...I doubt they are very selective of which other ducks they choose to mate with. |

Hybrid mallard indeed, although they often have a green head. It's what they call here a "soepeend" (Literally translated: soup duck) |

I agree with what doremi said....lots of cross breeding with mallards & black ducks (and domestic ducks too). |

I've read that the Black Duck is hybridizing with the Mallard quite commonly. Might this be an example? |

Well, it's a male, but I've never seen this coloration in a Mallard. Could certainly be a hybrid version. |
