Challenge: Grunge II (Expert Editing)

I used the 5DMKII and the Carl Zeiss 35mm 1,4 distagon for all photos in this work. The image consists of 8 images. I started with the overlay textures, one on the blue side and one on the tan or brown side. I simply adjusted the WB for each shot. The textures are "well used" cookie baking sheets. The face is a reporter on the television. I shot OOF and with a wide open aperture of 1.4. The clock turning into sand is one image, the clock in the eye is one image, the sand is one image, and the stain tear trail is one image. Finally, the clouds are one image. I had no grand plan with this. I usually do not have good plans. I started putting these images together like the chefs on the Food Network channel when they do not know the ingredients, but somehow they make a fantastic meal from all sorts of odd ingredients. Since I have been feeling like time is racing by me the last several years, I thought I would try to convey that feeling. We can't control time, not that I am aware of anyway, so I wanted to convey the message of humans trying to control time, always wanting to turn back the clock, but to no avail, so it becomes a very emotional issue with most of us. I have learned though, to take things as they come, and not to sweat the little things. I have learned to become an opportunist. When something doesn't go according to plan, so what, make a change and move on. Sort of what I did with this entry. |
